Ab sofort kann MATLAB auch mobil vom iPhone, iPad oder iPod touch aus genutzt werden. MathWorks hat dazu MATLAB Mobile veröffentlicht. Die Software für technische Berechnungen lässt sich damit ferngesteuert per App bedienen: Das App verbindet mobile Geräte mit dem Computer, auf dem MATLAB läuft. Anwender können dann Befehle eingeben, Skripte laufen und sich Ergebnisse anzeigen lassen. Wenn auf dem PC des Benutzers MATLAB bereits installiert ist, können das MATLAB Mobile App und der MATLAB Connector kostenlos heruntergeladen werden.
